Amazing castle with beautiful views over the city. The entry fee is around 3 euro and you can combine it with the Alcazaba for around 5 euro.Full review by Dirk M

Questions & answers

Q:
Hi, Could anyone tell me whether the place is opened on 6th January 2020? Thanks!
A:
Yes, it should be open despite the 6th being a monday but I think it may close quite early (6pm?) due to the time of year. Cost to get in is about 3.5 Euros.
Q:
Where is the best place to park for bus to Castillo
A:
Sorry but cannot help as only walked. However there did seem to be plenty of parking spaces down on the water's edge near the town hall
Q:
Where do start the hike from
A:
You may ask people nearby the entrance to Alcazaba Fortress. They will show You the way to Castillo de Gibralfaro..
Q:
Is it possible to get a taxi to the top of the Castillo and walk down to the alcazaba? Would this be a difficult walk? Thanks
A:
Yes taxi or hop on/off tour bus stops there. Walk down is steep but gentle, go at own pace. Best way to do it in my opinion.
