I was there on a Sunday morning in May. We had 3-day tickets but there was no queue at all and it was not crowded. This Old Masters Gallery is actually in the Zwinger - the Green Vault is in the Residenz and you do need a special timed ticket for that. Ask in advance at your hotel or information office. The 'New Green Vault' , also in the Residenz, is not timed, much less frequented and still quite spectacular.
