The cost was less than $50 per person, which was good, but the overall experience was quite mediocre. The best thing to do from the cruise port of Belize City is to get out on the reef, and Goff's Ca…Full review by Dave R

A:
There will be several men available to help you every time you get on and off the boat. They were extremely helpful to ALL, especially children and women.

I was there last week. 2-13-2020. We were there on a day with about 25 other tourists. They had about 20 lounge chairs available. They belonged to one of the 2 vendors on the island. The vendor with the chairs said we could use them if we bought his food and drinks. Lobster lunch with rice and coleslaw was $8. On special. No umbrellas but there was some shade from trees off the actual beach. It is a small small island. It was quite windy while we were there. There is 1 changing room and 1 bathroom with a flush toilet. The island is a government owned public island. I’m not sure who owns the bathroom. The vendors stay there 24/7 I believe m-f. They were all very nice. I didn’t snorkel but those that did said it was good and worth doing. I would recommend water shoes. There were some rocks for about 20’ once you got out a little ways. Yes, it would be a good place for kids. Young kids with close supervision would be fine. The water temp was ideal. It’s about a 40 minute boat ride each way. Since it was windy it was a rough ride especially going out. If you sit closer to the back of the boat, it is a smoother ride but on our boat it was full sun. The front 2/3rds of the boat was mostly shade. Overall it was a good experience. Put sunscreen on before you sweat as sweat pushes the sunscreen off your skin but If you put sunscreen on when you are cooler and let it soak in for 20 minutes first, it works much better and doesn’t wash off so easy. Spray on sunscreen needs to be rubbed in. Happy travels.
