We are going to Venice this June and I saw this Palace that you visited. Are skip the line tickets required and can we just get them at the door? We have been to Venice before and wanted to avoid a set schedule as we have done the main tours already. Thanks for you help!

We had absolutely zero problem with tickets. Just turned up and we were in. We arrived at about 12.00, which you would think to be peak time, and it was quiet. Lovely place and well worth the effort. Nice little cafe by the ticket office - perfect for a rest after the visit and there's a lot to see. It's worth reading about the history of the house before visiting - truly amazing and relevant to one of the Canalettos in the building.
Some reviews say you can take photos without a flash and some say you can't take any at all. Which is correct. I can't find reference to this on any web sites.

Thanks everybody. So lovely to be able to look at your own photos without having to download some from the internet into your other holiday pics. Much appreciated.
