During our visit in May 2017, it used to remain open on all days - but some work was going on. However, it is quite close to Thimpu city so visit may not need lot of planning.

Weather is rainy intermittently but it doesn't rain that heavily. You can do your journey with motorbike ride with all the gears like rain-coat etc. You can get your Permit made in …

Weather is rainy intermittently but it doesn't rain that heavily. You can do your journey with motorbike ride with all the gears like rain-coat etc. You can get your Permit made in Thimphu from its Immigration Dept. (works Monday thru Friday) for visiting Punakha & Phobjikha.
