very picturestic crater. many craters became lakes, but in this case the lake is in the background of the crater. many steps but not too hard to climb. Full review by מוטי ל

If you had experience with a crater, don't bother, its an ordinary crater with no water. Otherwise its worthwhile to see if you had never seen a crater before. But be very careful in Iceland …

If you had experience with a crater, don't bother, its an ordinary crater with no water. Otherwise its worthwhile to see if you had never seen a crater before. But be very careful in Iceland especially in winter. The staircase might be wet and icy, as most scenic places had no fence or guard, precaution is important because not too many people around.

Sorry, it was dry when we climbed the steps. Not sure how safe the paths around the crater would be.
