Is the farm open during the week without taking a tour, or just Thursday through Sunday? I was wondering if we could access the trail into Helen.

When we were there in June, the trail was closed due to flooding and washouts. Not sure what the status is at this time. You might want to give them a call. The site is only open …
When we were there in June, the trail was closed due to flooding and washouts. Not sure what the status is at this time. You might want to give them a call. The site is only open Thursday thru Sunday. You can access the grounds and visitor center without taking the tour, but there is a $6 charge to access the grounds.
We are coming next week with 4 children. What exactly is there to do on the farm?

It is a tour of the house and grounds. If your children are into history, this will be interesting. If they are very young, there might not be enough to keep their interest.
