With being free of charge this was excellent. The castle is in great condition and was used as a Victorian jail and hence is full of creepy cells. Lots of info is provided. A great place to visit. Full review by KingOfTheNorth99

Visited the jail on a rainy day. Kept the kids entertained for a couple of hours, lots of information on offer and a chance to see the prison cells. Some of the cells had been decorated for Halloween… Full review by 140christym

Dogs are allowed in the grounds but not inside the jail, but they do have benches you can sit on outside whilst your partner goes inside and then change over and you go inside, it worked …
