We had been to Harrogate and decided to stop at Knaresborough on our way home…… we spent the day walking around the castle and having lunch by the riverside and seeing the viaduct Such a pretty place…Full review by GandT67-71

The address of the viaduct is incorrect, it's in Knaresborough not Pateley Bridge, 13 miles away. Correct post code is HG5 8DE.Full review by Shaun M

Hi all. Slightly confused. Looking to visit Knaresborough Viaduct and the address includes Pateley Bridge which is not in Knaresborough. Want to book hotel for the night so don't want to get it wrong....is the viaduct located in Knaresborough?

Yes, caz017, it is in Knaresborough spanning the river. If you visit Knaresborough then you can combine the viaduct with a visit to the castle ruins. Go to the castle first which is set in gardens at the top of town. When you have strolled round that go to the back of the site and you will have great views down to the river below and towards the viaduct. You can then take narrow steps at the back of the gardens which lead down to river level and a riverside walkway which takes you towards and under the viaduct. Great views but be aware that the climb through streets back up to the top is steep so take it in easy stages. Hope this helps.
