This was a unique and fun experience unlike any other I’ve had in Thailand. The hike is a grind but was fairly easy (I’m an experienced backcountry hiker). It took my wife and I 4 hours to get to the…Full review by Matticus01

Hi, can anyone advice how we can book the porters and bungalows in advance? Are there guides as well, or is this not necessary? We are planning a trip in Dec 2018 for a group of 8 people. Thanks.

You do not need to book the porter in advance. They are readily available. All you need to do is to drop-off the loads intended for the porter at the counter at the gate. The loads will be charged by weight. As for the bungalow, the Phu Kadueng National Park is the only place where you can book your accommodation. The paths throughout the park are well documented and local guide is not needed. Hope the above is helpful for your planning.
