I enjoyed exploring this attraction. It was a very grand structure that was visually very impressive. You should definitely visit if you're in San Francisco! Full review by Simonkn20

A nice place to spend a morning or afternoon strolling the grounds. One of the many free activities to do in San Francisco. Best part, there's no entrance fee to walk around the compound. Full review by WIKITRAVELPEDIA

Hi, Yes there are places to eat nearby on Chestnut street. One of my favorites is "Squat & Gobble" which has a wide and delicious menu. You can eat inside or out, if the weather is nice, and the servings are a bit large. Parking can be a bit of a challenge but achievable.
Q:
What are the parking options?
A:
Thanks everyone - made it easy and took Uber. Was there for an event, wearing heels and didn't want to chance having to walk too far! It made it so easy.
Q:
Can we still visit palace of fine arts on Monday although it is closed?
A:
Yes we only walked the outside part and walked in at the seaside entrance which is just a path. It looks a great contrast . Enjoy.
