What if I miss the hop on hop off bus on the bus stop? Will there be more buses that I can catch?

There’s always buses every 20 mins wait max between the hours of service. Problem as most have identified is where the bus stops are, they’re not clearly signed posted.
If I take the metro form madrid airport to Nuevos Ministerios station can I get a hop on hop off bus from that station. Also can you pay on the bus or do you need to purchase in advance ?

You can buy on the bus. You need to check the route for the stops
