Redings Mill is a village in Newton County, Missouri, United States. The population was 151 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Joplin, Missouri Metropolitan Statistical Area. Redings Mill was named for millwright John S. Reding. He built the first mill in Newton County prior to the American Civil War. A variant name was "Shoalsburgh". A post office called Shoalsburg was established in 1867, and remained in operation until 1883.
