Please does anyone know if there is access to the car park 24 hours a day. We are planning to visit the lighthouse at dusk after a day out somewhere else, so we can see light in all its glory and would hate to make the trip only for a gate to be stopping us from parking

The car park is normally staffed (there is a small fee to park) so I suspect it will have a closed gate at night, but please bear in mind this is a lighthouse visible for 20+ miles so you don't need to park in the car park to see the light. Also you can walk to the light house on a range of footpaths.
