Went to see Santa what a fantastic experience thank you all at Honister especially to Jolly the Elf and the Naughty Elf. A really wonderful setting. Jolly the Elf kept everyone (adults too) entertain… Full review by Richard L

Amazing! So worth a 2hr drive and so worth the money. A Santa visit like no other. The kids loved it and so did we. Added bonus is the beautiful scenery on the drive accross the Pennines. Would 100%… Full review by Emily C

Do you have to wear a mask inside the mine at the moment? Either when doing the tour or climb then mine tour?
A:
You have to wear a mask in the shop when they go through the safety brief and on the bus to and from the mine. In the mine you do not have to wear a mask.

Hi Tinc77, we are 8 miles outside of Keswick on the B5289. You can come to the Lake District by train to Penrith and then either take a taxi or the Stagecoach bus service to Keswick. …

Hi Tinc77, we are 8 miles outside of Keswick on the B5289. You can come to the Lake District by train to Penrith and then either take a taxi or the Stagecoach bus service to Keswick. From Keswick you need to take the 77 bus up to Honister Pass.

Hi.. any advice on how can I get there or a hostel nearby Honister Slate Mine from London? I’m only commuting..

I would probably try to get a bnb nearby on borrowdale or buttermere, there is also a lot of camping nearby

Can you just book it when you get there?

Yes but you may have to wait a while. They have a little restaurant that’s reasonably priced and the shop is interesting too

Yea but obviously not on the tours or climbs.
