we will have a day in Whitefish in late May and would like to know if a half-day (AM) hike would work and if so, where to pick up the Trail.
A:
And Lion Mountain Trailhead is just a mile or two west of town. Could easily bike there. Beaver Lakes has several trailheads in the area.
