Great place to get in the river and cool off with the family. Can be hot with little shade. Take water and sunscreen. Water shoes are also helpful.Full review by Nathan J

Hello there! Planning on heading to camp here for friday and saturday night, 8/4, 8/5, and wanting to know if I need to reserve or if it is 1st come 1st served. Also, if it is 1st come, is arriving Friday afternoon sufficient time to grab a spot? Thanks!

Hi... so this campground is a first come first serve camping area. You should, emphasis on should, be able to obtain a site, depending on when you arrive on the 4th. I'd recommend that you call the park directly at 541-394-0002 and find out more about how many campers are using the campground this time of year. We've only camped at Cottonwood in early spring and it definitely filled up by late Friday afternoon. That said, it's a great place to camp!
