Thinking of a ski trip to Cyprus and a bit concerned about driving in snow conditions. Considering we want to have two days in the ski. Is it better to drive to troodos hotel at night from the airport or stay closer to the airport and drive up to sun valley every day?

I think from what I recall our tour guide mentioned the higher road in winter is closed off to traffic as it is a dangerous part of the road, I didn't take a great deal of notice as to any advice as regards skiing , but it might be worth you investigating finding somewhere to stay actually up there, I do believe a mention was made by a traveller they once got snowed in for quite a while. I strongly recommend you steer caution and enquire about places to stay if possible up , im sure I saw some lodges, have a nice time, be safe, enjoy!!..
Snow! I am thinking of taking a hiking/touring holiday in the Troodos mountains in March next year. I see from Lorna F's review there was still some snow left last February but how likely is it there will be too much snow to drive to and enjoy comfortable hikes this March. TonyC

Hi from what I recall info on the tour trip we were told if the snow was there they close the road that leads to the top of the mountain of Troodos, but I think they said snow didn't arrive this year but they had some in june apparently, probably check out any info from coach tours trips for any advice before you venture up there just in case, be safe, enjoy your holiday...
