A lovely large park with stunning views over Lisbon. We were in need of refreshment after a long walk and cut through the park to get to Cortez Ingles. We didn't get to appreciate the park in full.Full review by Jane H

Make sure you head here at least once on your trip to Lisbon! It’s a walk uphill from the city past the maze lawns but the viewpoint up the top is spectacular! I would also recommend going to Estufa …Full review by MaisLF

The main station is far from the park but you can take the metro to the sub-station at Marqes de Pombai which is at the downhill side of the park. The walking distance from the train station at Rossio to the landmark statue of Pombai is around half an hour (no side watching of the shops etc.) Nonetheless I consider that it is worth to take a walk through the busy tree-lined boulevard up to the park. There are many shops, statues and cafes along the route provided you have sufficient time. Have a happy trip.
About how long can you spend at the park? Is it something to do for a whole morning or can it only satisfy about an hour?

About an hour would be enough unless you like plants and want to visit the Estufa Fria ,the three greenhouses with exotic plants which are on the upper left side of the park if you enter from the top ; in this case,together with the walk down the park it may take maybe a little more than an hour; once you arrive to the big square at the end of the park ,you have in front of you the Avenida Liberdade,the glamour boulevard of Lisbon with lots shops of world famous brands and which in my opinion is a must to walk on ;
there is a bio/veggie/healthy restaurant/shop on the round-about where the big statue is (Marques de Pombal). They serve all kinds of delicious salads and sandwiches. You can eat …
there is a bio/veggie/healthy restaurant/shop on the round-about where the big statue is (Marques de Pombal). They serve all kinds of delicious salads and sandwiches. You can eat there of even better, take it to the park as a picnic! Take place at the top of the park (near the pillars & fontain, with the kind of tires on the top) and en enjoy the view! I wish I was there with you : it will be amazing :-)
