We visited Museum Island more than once during our time in Berlin. It's a scenic location in the Spree River, so we enjoyed seeing the river flowing by with its boats. And, as the name suggests, it's…Full review by SnowyShasta

I'm a big history buff and excited to make Museum Island a big highlight in my upcoming trip to Berlin. I'm trying to get my head around how much time to allocate to each for planning purposes. Are all of the museums a similar size? Or are some much smaller than others? I'm more familiar with museums like the British Museum and the Metropolitan, so trying to gauge my expectations of time needed based on the couple of days I spent at each of those.

I will be in Berlin from October 14th to 20th. Which parts of the museum will be closed? The Pergamon mus, The temple of Ishtar? Are the Ancient Near East galleries open? How about Old National galery and Old (Greek, Roman, Etruscan art) museum? The info about what is and is not open is very murky. I appreciate your help.

Sorry, I don't know about that, but all of the places on the island are really close together, so it won't be hard ti just walk around and check, Enjoy! I sure did!
