For 40 years, AJ’s has been at the heart of the Algester community and we’re excited to share some BIG changes with you as we continue to grow and evolve. As of June 2024, AJ’s Sports Centre is proudly owned by Strand Fitness. Originally a Townsville based business, Strand Fitness has grown over the past 15 years to provide its members with state of the art facilities, while still keeping an amazing community presence - making them the ideal people to take over AJ’s Sports Centre. In fact, in 2023, Strand Fitness was awarded Townsville’s Best Gym and Queensland’s Best Gym. It’s safe to say that AJ’s is in great hands to continue our legacy with a new vision, facility upgrades and member focused community.
