As reported by Rock Paper Shotgun, the upcoming grand strategy title Civilization VII will come with a Steam 'Deck Verified' tag at launch. In plain terms, this means that Civilization VII passed Valve's round of testing to ensure that the game gets along with the Steam Deck without issues.

Ahead of the game's market debut, publisher 2K has taken to Twitter to announce that Civilization 7 has earned the Steam Deck Verified label. The upcoming title will hence be fully compatible with Valve's handheld, offering comprehensive support for its controls and native resolution.

Firaxis has announced that Civilization 7 has been verified for Steam Deck ahead of its launch on February 11. This will be the first entry in the series to get the full green checkmark seal of approval on Valve's popular Linux-based handheld.
