Haas rookie Oliver Bearman has halted final practice for Sunday’s Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix just four minutes into the session, with the British driver bringing out the red flags after he lost control of his car and buried it in the gravel on turn 11 on the Albert Park circuit.

Adelaide held the Australian Grand Prix between 1985-1995 and it served as the season finale in November of each year. Although it was successful, with 210,000 people attending the final race, it became too expensive to run and Melbourne took over as host the following year.

The start of the new Formula 1 season begins with a trip to Australia for the 2025 Australian Grand Prix at Melbourne Grand Prix Circuit in Albert Park. The racing event will kick off Thursday (March 13) with practice sessions starting at 9:30 p.
