Glenview Police Officer Robert Fryc, 43, was killed in a traffic crash Sunday; the other driver was charged with reckless homicide.

A Glenview police officer was killed in a car crash Sunday morning while on his way to work in Barrington, according to the Glenview Police Department. The crash happened around 4:09 a.m. in the 200 block of South Northwest Highway.

Glenview officer Robert Fryc died in a crash en route to work in Barrington. He was recognized for heroism and his death has deeply affected the community.
