As many as 25 flights of Indian airlines received bomb threats on Sunday, causing hardships to hundreds of passengers and forcing authorities to move scores of planes to isolation bays at airports concerned for detailed checks.

A Hyderabad-Chandigarh IndiGo flight faced a bomb threat, prompting comprehensive checks at Chandigarh airport. The aircraft was isolated for safety, and passengers were disembarked without incident.

Bomb threats disrupted operations of Indian airlines, impacting hundreds of passengers and leading to increased security measures. Flights from multiple carriers were isolated for checks, all turning out as hoaxes.

Meanwhile, Indigo said that upon landing, the aircraft was isolated and all passengers were safely disembarked. A series of bomb threats have been received by various airlines on domestic and international routes. Most threats were received through social media and most of them turned out to be hoaxes.

At the same time, an IndiGo flight operating from Istanbul in Turkiye for Mumbai also received a bomb threat and was taken to an isolation bay here for the security agencies to carry out a comprehensive security check.
