On Oct. 8, Detroit Police Department patrol officers reported they stopped a car driven by Williams’ brother for speeding. The driver disclosed there were two guns in the car – one on the back seat and one under the front-passenger seat, where Williams was sitting.

Williams was the passenger in a car pulled over for speeding in early October, and during the stop police officers found two guns in the car. One was registered to Williams' brother, while the other was registered to Williams himself. At the time, Williams did not have the permit to carry the weapon.

Lions wide receiver Jameson Williams has struggled with some unfortunate off-field issues during his time in Detroit, but the third-year wideout got cleared from another potential brush with the NFL's disciplinary wing.
