President Donald Trump said Tuesday that he would be in favor of Elon Musk or Larry Ellison purchasing TikTok and giving half ownership with the U.S. government.

He previously floated a joint venture, saying that the US should be entitled to half of the app.

Signing half of TikTok over to the US government in the process is a typically Trumpian spin on that solution. Never does the President turn down an opportunity for a bit of grift
