Voters in Missouri, Alaska and California will vote on minimum wage hikes. Massachusetts and Arizona will consider tipped worker wages.

Question 5 would require that all tipped employees in Massachusetts earn at least $15 an hour before tips, by 2029. The current system allows some workers — servers, bartenders, and hairdressers among them — to be paid $6.75 an hour, provided that tips make up the difference.

The federal minimum wage hasn’t changed since 2009 but voters in several states will have the chance to raise hourly wages at the state level.

Voters in three states, Missouri, Nebraska and Alaska, will go to the polls in November and vote on a key issue: paid sick leave for workers.
