A source tells PEOPLE exclusively that “nothing happened” between Nicole Kidman and Salma Hayek after fans believe the pair had a tense interaction at the Balenciaga fashion show on Sept. 30 based on a viral video.

Jeremy Freeman, a UK-based expert witness and forensic lip reader, exclusively revealed to Page Six what the ladies allegedly said to each other in the viral clip from New York Fashion Week.
