Since Meghan Markle and Prince Harry spent the holiday season in the U.S. without the royal family, King Charles was not able to be with his grandchildren Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet on Christmas Day.

King Charles made the current status of his relationship with Prince Harry painfully clear this Christmas, a royal expert has said. Reflecting on the annual 3pm speech that the monarch gave on Wednesday (25 Dec), commentator and author Tessa Dunlop believes tensions are still high between the father-son duo.

“When Prince William and Prince Harry were young, we'd do Christmas baking and that,” King Charles and Princess Diana's former chef Carolyn Robb told T&C back in 2022. “The meringues from [ Christmas at the Palace] are probably the thing they'd have enjoyed the most.”
