Albuquerque: An examination of the dog found dead alongside actor Gene Hackman and his wife in their Santa Fe home indicates that dehydration and starvation were likely the causes of the animal’s death.

Betsy Arakawa’s body was found on a bathroom floor, roughly 10 to 15 feet from where Zinna’s remains were found in a crate.

The report noted that the stomach of the dog that belonged to Gene Hackman and Betsy Arakawa was mostly empty except for small amounts of hair and bile.
