Toyota may revive the Land Cruiser nameplate in the U.S. by introducing a version of its redesigned little brother, the Land Cruiser Prado, expected to debut as early as next year.

This would open up just enough airspace for the Land Cruiser, which would be adapted from the global Toyota Prado—another soon-to-be-redesigned future TNGA-F adoptee—much like the 2024 Lexus GX.

For 2026, Toyota has made a small but crucial update to the Prado. Visually, the SUV remains unchanged but underneath the hoot, the Land Cruiser Prado now gets a mild-hybrid powertrain.
