The Coyotes have waived center Adam Ruzicka hours after a video was posted to social media that appeared to show the NHL player in a room with a white powdery substance.

Ruzicka was in the second season of a two-year contract worth $1.525 million. He had been with the Coyotes for only about a month since they claimed him off waivers from the Calgary Flames on Jan. 25.

Ruzicka, a center from Slovakia, hasn't recorded any points in the three games he's played as a Coyote. This comes after he notched nine points in 39 games for Calgary.
