Steve Kiner, a former linebacker for the Tennessee football program and a College Football Hall of Fame member, has died.

Former Tennessee linebacker Steve Kiner has died, the University of Tennessee announced Thursday. He was 77. Kiner played for the Vols from 1967-69 and was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1999. During his career with the Vols, Tennessee compiled a 26-6-1 (15-2-1 SEC) overall record when Kiner was on the field.
