Arkansas State Police are now investigating the deadly Christmas Eve shooting of a Cross County woman by a Hughes Police Department officer.

A woman died on Christmas Eve after she was shot by an officer outside a Hughes city church, according to the Arkansas State Police.

A woman living in transitional housing in Fayetteville was shot and killed on Christmas Eve. It is especially surprising that one of the first federal agencies to come under scrutiny from the incoming administration is one that has returned billions of dollars to many of the same consumers who were counting on leaders in Washington to look out for their wallets.
