Ian Bendall Funeral Directors opened in 1958 and serves families mainly in the Stewartry, with offices in Castle Douglas and Dalbeattie, but also carries out funerals across Dumfries and Galloway.

Each of these bodies have codes of practice that members must follow. Legacy Independent Funeral Directors had not been a member of a trade body since at least 2021.
