Guinea has initiated a process to revoke Emirates Global Aluminium's mining licence in the West African nation, two people with knowledge of the matter told Reuters on Wednesday.

In the first month of operations at the Campbell Town mining centre, bauxite mining and screening exceeded the 500,000 tonnes annual capacity, hitting a run rate of 900,000 tonnes.
