FARMINGTON, N.M. — The Bisti/De-Na-Zin Wilderness is hidden a few miles south of Farmington. The location was known to be a swamp about 65 million years ago. It was a home to prehistoric animals.

The Bisti Badlands in northwestern New Mexico look like another planet ... Fortunately, this wonderland was saved from mining. Bisti/De-Na-Zin Wilderness is 36 miles south of Farmington.
