Historical England has launched its online aerial photograph explorer tool, making over 400,000 aerial photographs available – including these three historical images from Sheffield and Rotherham.

Sheffield is constantly changing and we’ve found this picture showing how different the city centre looked during the 90s.

The fire service shared the following statement on X: "Six fire engines and one aerial vehicle are currently in attendance at an industrial fire at Manor Park Centre, Sheffield.

A Sheffield primary school which was built using dangerous concrete can be seen with parts of the building covered up in tarpaulin as work is carried out to replace the material.

Firefighters and six fire engines are on the scene of a large blaze which has broken out at a Sheffield property, as residents living nearby are advised to keep their windows closed.
