Rugby is set to return to Chicago this fall. The Chicago Sports Commission was joined by Mayor Brandon Johnson and other dignitaries for the announcement Tuesday. After nine years, the All Blacks of New Zealand and Ireland will go head-to-head for a second time and selected Chicago as the city where the international rugby event will be hosted.

This is more than just a game. This is an historic moment in the making, bringing the best of global rugby to our great city,” Mayor Brandon Johnson told a news conference at Soldier Field Tuesday.
