FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A counter-demonstration took place at Roosevelt High School in southeast Fresno on Monday in response to a planned protest there by the Westboro Baptist Church.

Members of the controversial Westboro Baptist Church, known for their anti-gay, anti-Jewish and anti-Catholic stances, were met by counter-protests as they marched through Oakland on Thursday.
