The first Universal theme park in Europe will open in the UK. Set to be one of the largest and most advanced theme parks in Europe, 8.5 million visitors are expected in its first year. The deal has reportedly been closed by the Government in the hope it will generate tens of billions of pounds for the economy.

Some 8.5 million visitors are expected to visit the resort, on the site of a former brickworks near Bedford, in its first year.
