Thousands of volunteers help make EAA AirVenture possible each year, including 89-year-old seasoned volunteer Donald Duck.

June 9 is Donald Duck's birthday. NPR's Ayesha Rascoe speaks with film historian J.B. Kaufman about how the Disney character has changed since his debut 90 years ago.

Donald Duck was created by Walt Disney when he heard Clarence Nash doing his duck voice in 1934. In 2002, Donald Duck was listed by TV Guide as one of the 50 greatest cartoon characters of all time.
