Celebrated stand up comedian Nate Bargatze is set to host the 77th annual Emmy Awards, Variety has learned. The telecast will air live from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, Sept. 14 beginning at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on CBS and streaming live and on demand on Paramount+.

The family friendly comic will make his Emmy host debut in September: "I don’t like making people feel dumb and I don’t want to make fun of them."
