The FDA has upgraded a Dr. Pepper Zero Sugar recall to Class II due to mislabeled cans containing full sugar, posing health risks for diabetics across Florida, Georgia and South Carolina.
More than 19,000 cases of Dr Pepper have been recalled for mislabeling, the FDA announced June 5. The cans were labeled "zero sugar" but contained full sugar.
Starting May 1, Dr Pepper Creamy Coconut and Dr Pepper Creamy Coconut Zero Sugar will be available nationwide through the end of July. The flavor will be sold in 12-oz 12-packs and also 20-oz bottles.
