It seems like the rest of the games media only just caught onto this, so here’s a timely reminder in case you missed it: Hades 2 will be a timed console exclusive on Nintendo Switch 2 and the original Switch. That means you’ll need to wait for the PS5 version, much like with the previous roguelike from Supergiant Games.
Hades 2 is getting its first console launch on the Nintendo Switch 2, and the developers at Supergiant Games have praised the system, saying "with the extra power of Nintendo Switch 2, we know we can push some of the graphical features." They also revealed that Hades 2 is coming to Switch 2 before other consoles.
After a final major update, "Hades 2" should be ready this year. Initially, it can only be played on PC and Nintendo consoles.
Hades 2 was announced for Switch 2 during the April 2025 Direct, although the studio didn't confirm any release date. It's currently in early access on Steam, so it's unclear when the full launch will happen. The game will come to PlayStation and Xbox consoles at a later date.
