Boyd and Schlitt are now the sole original members of Head East since the recent death of friend and co-founding member Steve Huston. The current band has been playing with him for the last 16 years.

In 2017, they received a call about a Head East reunion show at Carlyle, Illinois, where the twins backed John Schlitt, original lead singer for Head East, during a solo set he performed.

Keyboardist Roger Boyd, the sole remaining original member, also is a retired faculty member at SIUE. The shows are at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
