We scream for ColdSnap pod ice cream Published: Jan. 14, 2021, 1:44 p.m. There's a Keurig-like ice cream maker that uses pods to create everyone's favorite frozen treat.
ColdSnap makes soft-serve ice cream on demand, as well as frozen yogurt, frozen coffee, frozen smoothies, frozen “healthy shakes,” slushies, and frozen cocktails. It’ll be available in Q2 2021.
When it hits retail, it's expected to cost somewhere between $500 and $1,000. The pods will be somewhere in the $2.50-to-$3 range. That's a hefty price for ice cream, but it might be one worth making.
All you have to do is select the pod you want. They are long, thin cans. Pop it in the machine, and after 60 to 90 seconds you have a chilled treat.
You may soon be able to make ice cream at home in minutes with minimal hassle — at least that is what ColdSnap claims to be able to offer with its pod machine.
LG showed off its prototype ice cream maker, the Snow White, that requires proprietary capsules to make ice cream. The product doesn’t have a release date or price — it’s just a concept for now.
