All eyes in the NBA world were on Dallas as Luka Doncic returned with the Los Angeles Lakers to take on the Mavericks. It was Doncic's first game back at the American Airlines Center since the shocking trade that sent him to Los Angeles for Anthony Davis.

Luka Doncic, in his first game in Dallas since his trade to the Lakers, matched his season high with 45 points as Los Angeles came away with a 112-97 win and officially clinched a playoff spot.

After resting six regulars in Los Angeles on Wednesday, I doubt the Houston Rockets will rest all of those players again. Instead, I think tonight will look more like a preseason game where the starters and rotation players handle the first half and maybe part of the third quarter before handing the keys over to the players we saw getting tons of minutes on Wednesday night.
