A leaky roof at Portsmouth High School forced all students and teachers off campus on Friday. It comes just a day before February break, and school department administrators said they can only hope temporary repairs will allow kids back into the classroom come the end of break.

Students are learning remotely on Friday, which is the last day before a week of February vacation.

Students at Portsmouth High School had a distance learning day on Friday due to issues with the building’s roof. Superintendent Dr. Thomas Kenworthy told 12 News the roof was “leaking in several different areas.
